Many diseases are being diagnosed earlier because of warning signs seen in the mouth - diabetes, heart disease, certain cancers, AIDS, etc. You would probably be surprised to learn how all things you do every day- the foods you eat, the habits you have, the medications you take, the vitamins or herbs you use - can affect your oral health as well as your over-all health.
